The Osun State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi, has strongly condemned a late-night attack on the Chairman of the Accord Party for Osogbo Local Government, Hon. Asimiyu Ajibola (popularly known as Baba Isila), reports ITREALMS.The politician and his companions narrowly escaped death on Wednesday night after being targeted by unidentified gunmen in what state officials describe as an attack with "political colorations." Hon. Ajibola is currently on the danger list, battling for his life at the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.

In a decisive move, the court ordered the Chief Medical Examiner of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and the Director of the Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre to produce outstanding autopsy and DNA reports within 21 days.

The Nigerian telecommunications community has extended its condolences to the Publicity Secretary of the Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), Barrister Sir Damian Udeh (KSM), following the passing of his father, Barr. The late patriarch, a highly respected legal mind and community leader, passed away at the age of 94, as disclosed in an official funeral announcement made available to ITREALMS.

In a press statement obtained by ITREALMS, signed by ALTON Chairman, Engr. Gbenga Adebayo, and Publicity Secretary, Sir Damian Udeh, the telecom body proposed a tripartite engagement involving the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
