The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has made some clarifications on the monetary, credit, foreign trade and exchange policy guidelines for the fiscal years 2024 and 2025, with regards to the Policy circular No. 45, which dwelt on Cyber Security Levy, reports ITREALMS.

This is coming as CBN has temporarily withdrawn the said circular No. 45 to minimise further risk of misinterpretation.

The management of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) have commended the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) for its various interventions in the oil company's crude supply requests from International Oil Companies (IOCs), and for publishing the Domestic Crude Supply Obligation (DCSO) guidelines to enshrine transparency in the oil industry.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has insisted that Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), their licensed agents and telecom subscribers should always comply with the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) registration, activation and replacement procedures as set out in the Revised National Identity Policy for SIM Registration.

    

The Commission made the request during the 6th Edition of the Telecom Consumer Town Hall on Radio (TCTHR), a radio-based interactive consumer outreach programme of the Commission, broadcast under the auspices of NCC Digital Signature, the Commission’s flagship radio programme.

This, NCC informed ITREALMS would ensure that unnecessary duplication of infrastructure is drastically reduced if not completely avoidable.

Spectrum Trading: NCC seeks public comments on guidelines

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is seeking public comments on the draft guidelines on Spectrum Trading in the country, reports ITRealms.

This, NCC said is in exercise of its functions under the Nigerian Communications Act 2003 and that the draft could be accessed on its website for stakeholders’ comments.

“In accordance with Section 57 of the Nigeria Communications Act 2003, a Public Inquiry in respect of the Draft Guidelines,” NCC management announced.

ITRealms also gathered that the draft would be up for public discuss on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 by 11am at NCC headquarters, Maitama, Abuja.

“All stakeholders are by this notice invited to participate in the Public Inquiry,” a public statement from NCC made available to ITRealms read in part.
