The Eastern Zonal Executive, Chapter Chairmen, Executives, and all esteemed members of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Eastern Zone have extended their heartfelt congratulations to the National President, Mr. Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji, and his National Executive Committee (NECOM) on the successful conduct of the Board of Trustees (BoT) election.

The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) condemns, in very strong terms, the serial attacks on journalists covering the #EndBadGovernance nationwide protest, describing the act as undemocratic and repressive.

GOCOP notes that journalists are partners in national development as well as critical stakeholders in the advancement of democracy and civil liberties and therefore deserve to be protected, and not suppressed as the security agents tried to do during the protest.

The National President, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Mr Emenike Nwokeoji has charged agents on compliance to the Nigeria Customs Service Act 2023 to ensure smooth operations at the ports, reports ITREALMS.

Addressing members of the Abia Freight Forwarders Association who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Port Harcourt the Rivers state capital, Monday, Nwokeoji said for agents to enjoy freight Forwarding business, they should stop taking risks for importers by engaging in wrong valuation, classification and declaration of imported goods insisting that such practices have put agents in a great risks.

A young tech-genius, identified as Adejoh David, has been arrested in Lagos by security operatives for multiple defrauding multiple Point of Sales (POS) agents via shared hotspot, reports ITREALMS.

David who was arrested at the weekend where he was chilling with some girls, at Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island, disclosed that he carries his fraudulent acts by first approaching any POS agent of choice for cash of N3,000 to be transferred by him via his mobile phone.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has warned Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), their licensed agents and telecom subscribers to ensure they follow procedures in complying with the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) registration.

NCC also to apply the procedures as laid down in Revised National Identity Policy for SIM Registration in the activation and replacement of SIMs.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has insisted that Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), their licensed agents and telecom subscribers should always comply with the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) registration, activation and replacement procedures as set out in the Revised National Identity Policy for SIM Registration.

    

The Commission made the request during the 6th Edition of the Telecom Consumer Town Hall on Radio (TCTHR), a radio-based interactive consumer outreach programme of the Commission, broadcast under the auspices of NCC Digital Signature, the Commission’s flagship radio programme.
