Cloud Energy boss urges for innovation, wins @ Titans of Tech award

The Managing Director of Cloud Energy Photoelectric Limited, Mr. Theo Nweke, has urged energy solutions providers in the country to move away from traditional solutions and adopt innovative service delivery, reports ITRealms.

Speaking after he was recognized at the 2016 Titans of Technology award in Lagos as the Most Outstanding Energy Solutions Provider of the year, at the weekend, arguing that modern energy solutions aim at achieving the aspirations of citizens living in the information age.

He stressed the need for the all-time availability of energy, conformity with evolving climate standards and deliberately contributing to the acquisition of the new skill levels required to triumph in the knowledge economy.   

A press statement from Technology Africa, organizers of Titans of Tech said the award was conferred on the indigenous Cloud Energy corporate for its “commitment to standards, and extended warranty on products and for the premium it places on after sales support and overall systems availability”.

ITRealms gathered that the organisers further commended the exceptional capacity of Cloud Energy to install and support energy solutions across Nigeria without a drop in standards. The Award which took place at the world-class Oriental Hotels, Lekki, was presented by the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajiabiamila under the watchful eyes of the Minister of Communications, Hon. Adebayo Shittu.

“A society with a dependable power supply is a productive society,” Cloud Energy boss said, lamenting that the failure of energy policies and institutions may have done more harm to Nigeria than corruption, Nweke empahsised, that the award would encourage his firm to position solar energy as the answer to the current recession and the key to national development, just as he dedicated the award to customers and staff on whose confidence Cloud Energy leveraged to display multiple competencies.

TITANS OF TECH marks ten years of constructive operation

The 10th anniversary of the prestigious Titans of Tech conference and exhibition has been scheduled to hold on July 22, 2015 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, ITRealms reports.

Don Pedro Aganbi, Managing Consultant, Technology Africa, noted in a chat with news men in Lagos, that “in today’s modern society, information communication technology (ICT) continues to play an increasingly significant role in the development of any nation culturally, socially and economically”.

Speaking further, ITRealms learnt, he stated that “The theme of this year’s conference “How ICT Powers Nigeria’s Economy” was chosen specifically to highlight the fact that ICT has become a key driver of economic growth over the past decade.” He noted that the rapid diffusion of the Internet, of mobile telephony and of broadband networks all demonstrate just how pervasive ICT has become.

He said that the Titans of Tech 2015 conference will go a long way not just to boost awareness of how ICT is changing the economic landscape but also the key players/operators making the investments that is precipitating this change. The conference, ITRealms gathered, will afford participating firms and individuals the ample opportunities to reveal the extent of their investment in Nigeria and to highlight the urgent need to actively protect and indeed promote further investment.

The ICT enthusiast noted that the four components of the tenth anniversary celebration of the Titans of Technology project are: Nigeria ICT Youth Summit, Finance ICT Breakfast Summit (FIBS), E-Government Roundtable and Titans of Technology Awards & Gala Nite.
