Makinde charges councillors, clerks on grassroots development - ITREALMS

Oyo State Governor, 'Seyi Makinde, on Friday, charged 351 Councillors and 33 Clerks of the Local Government Legislative Councils to take development to all the nooks and crannies of their localities, by putting in place by-laws and motions that will affect people at the grassroots positively.

The governor, who gave the charge at the end of a 3-day training for the Councillors and Clerks of Local Government Legislative Councils, held at the World Lilies Event Centre, Apata, Ibadan, said the training had prepared grounds for the councillors on the tasks ahead of them in their respective council areas.

The latest research, security specialist Positive Technologies documents how the market enabling initial access to corporate networks has evolved through 2020 and into early 2021, and reveals that the number of ‘access-for-sale’ ads on the dark web has increased seven-fold compared with previous years.

In the heat of the debate over Electoral Act Amendment Bill and the propriety and workability of electronic transmission of result, the House of Representatives invited the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, the nation’s telecoms regulator.
The House also invited the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to answer to some questions. But as it has now turned out, the invitation to NCC was needless, baseless and at best a futile exercise in red-herring. The NCC, it must be stated, is one of the best performing public institutions in Nigeria with its exemplary culture of good corporate governance noised abroad even as far as Switzerland, the head office of the International Telecommunications Union, ITU.

Overland Airways has refuted any involvement of its planes in alleged crash in Ilorin over the weekend, reports

The Oyo State Governor, 'Seyi Makinde, on Sunday, said his administration has been able to strengthen the security architecture of the state by streamlining operations between Amotekun and other security agencies, reports

The governor, who was speaking at a special Thanksgiving Service to mark the 66th birthday of the presiding Pastor of Livingspring Chapel International, Pastor Femi Emmanuel, held at the Livingspring Chapel International, Dominion City, Aduloju, Ibadan, said that his government has invested heavily in security more than any of the previous governments in the state.

The Federal Government has adduced some reasons on why the deadline for the National Identity Number (NIN)-Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) data verification was moved to October 31, 2021, reports ITREALMS.
According to source close to the two federal agencies, namely the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) and National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), revealed that the focus has now shifted to remote, hard-to-reach areas, schools, and health centres.

The global leader in Augmented Identity, IDEMIA, has fixed three vulnerabilities discovered by Positive Technologies experts Natalia Tlyapova, Sergey Fedonin, Vladimir Kononovich, and Vyacheslav Moskvin, reports ITREALMS.

One of the detected vulnerabilities was critical. The flaws were detected in the firmware of IDEMIA MoprhoWave, VisionPass, SIGMA, and MorphoAccess devices, which are designed to organize access control with the help of biometric identification.
