2nd Niger bridge interchange: FG swiftly deploys contractors to remediate erosion threat - ITREALMS
Following alarm raised over gully erosion rapidly undermining the expressway at the Obosi/Asaba interchange of the Second Niger Bridge, emergency remedial work has officially commenced, reports ITREALMS.Site photographs obtained on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, confirm that heavy construction equipment and engineering personnel have been deployed to the affected sector to stabilize the failing embankment and prevent further undercutting of the highway structure.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has deployed 84 assistive Information Technology projects at different locations in Nigeria to support people with special needs while supporting policies that enable disadvantaged members of the society to live a more qualitative life.
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has deployed 84 assistive Information Technology projects at different locations in Nigeria to support people with special needs while supporting policies that enable disadvantaged members of the society to live a more qualitative life.
"The E-Accessibility project seeks to meet the ICT needs of persons living with disabilities in Nigeria by providing ICT tools, assistive technologies, training, and Internet provision in the identified locations. Between 2012 to 2020, the NCC has deployed the E-Accessibility Projects in, at least, 84 locations nationwide."

In response to the recent surges on registration of voters nationwide, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has deployed extra 209 voter enrolment machines mainly to the five South Eastern States, Lagos and Kano where the pressure is most acute, reports ITREALMS.

In response to the recent surges on registration of voters nationwide, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has deployed extra 209 voter enrolment machines mainly to the five South Eastern States, Lagos and Kano where the pressure is most acute, reports ITREALMS.
The Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee at INEC, Barrister Festus Okoye, disclosed this to ITREALMS on Friday, saying that they received reports from various states, most of which indicated an unprecedented surge in the number of citizens that wish to register as voters and the challenges they face across the country.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has deployed an industry-wide Cybersecurity Fusion Centre and Malware Information Sharing Platform to address the growing cyber risk, reports ITREALMS.Disclosing this to ITREALMS on Monday in Lagos, at the media parley organized by the Committee of Chief Information Security Officers of the Nigeria Financial Industry and Cybersafe Foundation, the Director of Banking Supervision, CBN, Mr. Haruna B. Mustafa, said that its part of the measures being put in place to enhance the industry resilience.
