The National Commissioner, Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB), Dr Vincent Olatunji, has been appointed into Forbes Technology Council for 2023, reports ITREALMS.
Forbes Technology Council, ITREALMS gathered, is an invitation-only community for world-class Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) and Technology Executives.
The Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB) has honoured the Nigeria Digital Identification for Development (ID4D) Project with an Institutional Pillar of Support Award, in appreciation of the project’s support to the Bureau.
According to a Press Release signed by the Nigeria Digital ID4D Communications Manager, Dr. Walter Duru, the Award was received by the Nigeria ID4D Project Coordinator, Musa Odole Solomon at the 2023 edition of the annual National Privacy Week Dinner/Award and First Year Anniversary of the Nigeria Data Protection Bureau, held at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, weekend.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha has said that the Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB) would soon be institutionalised to boost data protection in the country, reports ITREALMS.
Speaking during a working visit of NDPB leadership led by its National Commissioner, Dr. Vincent Olatunji visited his office at the Shehu Shagari Complex in FCT, Abuja.
The Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB) has urged the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to scale up its strategy towards the privacy of citizen’s data to earn their trust, reports ITREALMS.
The NDPB National Commissioner, Dr. Vincent Olatunji, made this known during a working visit to the Corporate Headquarters of NIMC at the weekend in Abuja, urging the commission which is the highest data controller in the country to be a model for other data controllers since data is the foundation of everything in the country’s digital economy.
