The Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB) has urged the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to scale up its strategy towards the privacy of citizen’s data to earn their trust, reports ITREALMS.

The NDPB National Commissioner, Dr. Vincent Olatunji, made this known during a working visit to the Corporate Headquarters of NIMC at the weekend in Abuja, urging the commission which is the highest data controller in the country to be a model for other data controllers since data is the foundation of everything in the country’s digital economy.

The digital platforms in Africa should scale up to take advantage of the continent’s surging demand for creative content, said Africa Investment Forum Senior Director Chinelo Anohu, adding that the African Development Bank flagship entity is providing advisory services and investment support to creative players.

Anohu was speaking at a virtual “fireside chat” on Tuesday with Afreximbank President Benedict Oramah and Dean Garfield, Netflix’s Vice President of Public Policy.
