The Labour Party (LP) has rejected the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) which on Wednesday, upheld the declaration of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of the February 25, 2023 election in Nigeria, reports ITREALMS.The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Obiora Ifoh, made this known in Abuja.

The Presidential Election Petitions Court PEPC has ruled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was at liberty to decide the mode of transmission of election results during the presidential election on February 25, 2023.The five-man panel led on by Justice Haruna Tsammani said Wednesday that Sections 52 and 65 of the Electoral Act 2022, INEC was at liberty to prescribe the manner in which election results were transmitted during the poll.

After days of undecided, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday afternoon declared the governorship election results for Abia State, with the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Dr. Alex Otti, emerging as a winner, reports ITREALMS.According to INEC State Returning Officer, Prof. (Mrs) Nnenna Oti, said that the Labour Party candidate scored a total of 175,467 votes to beat his closest rival, Okey Ahiwe of PDP, who got a total of 88,529 votes.

The National Working Committee of the Labour Party (LP) has appointed Nollywood Actress, Hilda Dokubo as the chairperson of its three-man steering committee in Rivers state, reports ITREALMS.The National Chairman, LP, Barrister Julius Abure, in a letter to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) dated Thursday, March 9, 2023, listed Philip Loveday as secretary, and Gogo Wellington as publicity secretary of the new committee.

The National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Barrister Julius Abure has raised alarm on the impunity that is presently happening across the entire Lagos State where the results of the presidential elections collated in various polling units in the state are not being uploaded to the Central Server, reports ITREALMS.As said by the chairman in a press statement available to ITREALMS, the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in connivance with the security agencies are claiming that the BVAS have suddenly developed fault and therefore cannot function.
