Those from outside Igboland that say that they do not want Biafra have missed the point. It is for the people of the east to make that call and to make that decision and not for you.

What you believe is good for the Igbo or what you prefer for them is neither here nor there. Ultimately it is only THEIR choice and THEIR decision, which can only be made and established in a free and fair UN-sponsored and conducted referendum, that matters.

And in that referendum every single Igbo person, whether they be a traditional ruler, a chief, a wealthy business man, a pauper, a prince, a governor, a legislator, an elder-statesman, a student, a trader, a hairdresser, a bus-driver, a houseboy, a lawyer, a dancer, a singer, a landlord, a tenant, a judge, a clerk, a fisherman, a farmer, a taxi-driver, a secretary, a banker, a writer, a mortuary attendant, a pimp, a prostitute or a jobless man or woman only has one vote.

It is either "yes" or "no". No single vote is more important than the other and each vote carries the same weight.

The arrogance of those that beat their chests and believe that they know how that vote or referendum will ultimately go is second only to the short-sighted fools in the British media and political class who never believed that the United Kingdom would vote for BREXIT and opt to leave Europe.

It is also similar to the willful blindness and self-inflicted delusions of the Obama and Clinton-controlled liberal-left of American politics who swore and honestly believed that Donald Trump would and could NEVER win the presidential election of 2016. They forgot the "God factor" in all matters touching and concerning the destiny of nations and men and what a shocker they got!

Those in igboland that say they are the true leaders of the Igbo and that their people do not want to leave Nigeria and establish their own country may get the biggest surprise of their lives when the time comes.

And not one of them can defeat Nnamdi Kanu in a free and fair election ANYWHERE in Igboland today. If they doubt that perhaps they should try putting it to the test.

The great black American freedom fighter Malcom X said "the price of freedom is death". The 3 million Igbos that died in the civil war paid that price.

The hundreds of thousands of Igbos that were slaughtered in pogroms in the north in the mid-60's, during the civil war, in the '70's, in the 80's, in the '90's, in the 2000's and indeed right up until today paid that price.

The thousands of young and courageous IPOB men and women who were massacred by security forces in the streets of the east and in the sanctity of their homes over the last two years have paid that price.

The hundreds of Igbos that have been killed by state-protected Fulani militias and herdsmen in their villlages and on their farms in the last two years have paid that price.

Then came the threat of genocide and carnage from the Arewa Youth when the Igbo were told that they must leave the north by Oct. 1st 2017 or suffer another whirlwind of slaughter and pogroms.

Those that will be killed in the north after that date and once that deadline has expired will also have paid that price.

Given all this I have one question to ask: if the Lord, in His infinate wisdom and mercy, can raise a deliverer like the great Sir William Wallace to liberate Scotland from the English in 1297 why would He NOT raise a Nnamdi Kanu to deliver the Igbo people after they have been subjected to genocide, mass murder, wickedness and injustice at the brutal hands of the Nigerian state for the last 57 years?

If the Lord can raise an Oliver Cromwell to deliver the people of England from the tyranny of the Crown in 1642 why would He not raise a Nnamdi Kanu for the Igbo in 2017?

If the Lord can raise a George Washington to fight for American independence from the subjugation of the British Crown in 1775 why would He not raise a Nnamdi Kanu for the Igbo  in 2017?

If the Lord could raise a Maximillien Robespierre and Marat for the French people against the Bourbon royal family in 1789 and a Vladimer Lenin and Trotsky for the Russian people against the Romanov royal dynasty in 1917 why would he not raise a Nnamdi Kanu for the Igbo in 2017?

If the Lord could raise an Emeka Odumegwu- Ojukwu to deliver the Igbo people from total elimination, annihilation and extermination in 1967 why would he not raise a Nnamdi Kanu to deliver them from tyranny, mass murder and threats of genocide in 2017?

And the comparisons with Ojukwu are interesting. Both come from a royal and noble lineage and bloodline. Both went to some of the best schools and universities in the United Kingdom.

Ojukwu was at Oxford whilst Kanu was at the Metropolitan University (after finishing his first degree at Nsuka).  Both were well educated and enlightened enough to recognise the chains of tyranny and both had the mettle and the courage to cultivate a firm resolve to stand against it.

One did so in the filed of battle when his people were subjected to genocide, denied the right of self-determination and attacked whilst the other did so through aggressive political activism and without firing a shot. Both are endearing, charming, handsome, charrismatic, articulate and profound.

Finally, like all human beings, both are fallible and made one or two mistakes and errors in their careers by what they said about others from time to time. This is to be expected because they are both human.

Yet it is not what they say about others that matters but what they represent. And what they both represent, which is essentially the protection of the weak from the tyranny and barbarity if the strong,  is not only wholesome and righteous but also noble, honorable and worthy of emulation.

Few can dispute that the suffering of the Igbo over the last 57 years has been horrendous, disproportionate and barbarous. By any civilised standard it has been totally and completely unacceptable.

Oceans of Igbo blood, including that of infants and babies, have been shed and spilt over those years and that sacred blood not only cries to God in heaven for vengeance but also continues to plague, foul and soil the very foundation of the Nigerian state.

Not only has no remorse or regret been expressed or displayed for shedding that blood but instead those that have continuosly done so for no just cause for the better part of the last fifty seven years have been handsomely rewarded and well-compensated for their great evil and sociopathic disposition instead of being brought to justice.

When we go out of our way as a people to care for the weakest, the most vulnerable, the most villified, the most persecuted and even the most undeserving in our society it says a lot about us. And when we kill them at will and treat them like animals it means that we are no better than ravenous beasts.

The truth is that nothing and no-one can stop Nnamdi Kanu because there is a divine element to his meteoric rise.

God Himself has raised, lifted and annointed him and in doing so He has planted a seed, ignited a fuse and unleashed the spirit of Biafra  in the mind, body, spirit and soul of the Igbo nation.

Whatever happens to Kanu today that spirit and that movement will not die but rather go from strength to strength.

The man has died in millions of Nigerians that have remained silent when faced with the tyranny and injustice of today's Nigeria. But not in Nnamdi Kanu. The man has refused to die in him and still lives on.

He has refused to bow to tyranny and he has refused to succumb to the blackmail and intimidation of the state.

He is the Lion of the east: I stand by him, I love him and I salute his courage. O that we had more of his ilk in our shores. May God defend him and may the Ancient of Days guide and protect Him.

We are in bondage

How can anyone describe Nigeria as a free nation when Sheik Othman Dan Fodio, the hero of the core Muslim north, the father of the Fulani Caliphate and the first Mahdi of Nigeria once said,

"Allah has bestowed on me and my people the historic duty to spread the holy faith of the Prophet throughout the Caliphate and convert these pagans. If they refuse to accept Allah and his Prophet we will wash the earth, the forests, the mountains, the rivers and the streams with their pagan blood. Ours is a holy and righteous calling. We are doing the work of Allah".

How can anyone describe Nigeria as a free nation when Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Saurdana of Sokoto, the Premier of the Northern Region and the second Mahdi of Nigeria once said,

"The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grandfather Othman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities in the north as willing tools and the south as conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us and never allow them to have control over their future".

How can anyone describe Nigeria as being free when General Muhammadu Buhari, the indisputable King of the north, the avenging sword of the Caliphate, the almighty President of the Federal Republic, the unquestionable leader of the African Mujahadeen and the third and last Mahdi of Nigeria once said,

"It is my intention to spread sharia to every part of Nigeria" and that "why should Christians bother when Muslims chop off the hands of Muslims in the name of sharia" and that "Muslims should only vote for Muslims" and finally that "an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north".

What portion do those of us that are southerners and Middle Belters have in this so-called "free country" and why have we been consistently denied the right to decide whether we wish to remain in it by having a referendum?

Were we born to be slaves whilst others were born to rule? God forbid it. My Christian faith teaches me that I am the head and not the tail.

It teaches me that it is a sore sight and a great evil under the sun to see the sons of slaves riding on horseback whilst the sons of the King walk around on bare feet.

It teaches me that we are the head and not the tail and that light is meant to overcome darkness and not that darkness overcomes the light.

The truth is that whichever way you look at it Nigeria is not free and Nigeria is not one nation.

We are in bondage and servitude to the sons and daughters of Futa Jalon and we are badly divided. That is the subject of this essay.

Buhari, are you dead?

Most columnists, writers and public commentators have shied away from doing so but today yours truly will treat a matter and pose a question that is in the hearts and minds of many both within and outside Nigeria.

The question is whether President Muhammadu Buhari (remember him?) is actually dead or still alive. And, assuming that he is still alive, is he lost to the world in a vegetative state and deep coma, is he suffering from an extreeme and crippling form of dementia or is he lucid, functional, rational and clear-thinking?

These are the relevant and poignant questions that many are seeking answers to yet this whole matter and everything that flows from it, for some strange and inexplicable reason, is shrouded in the utmost secrecy and subtefuge.

The Presidency has told us that Buhari has travelled out of the country yet no-one has seen pictures or footage of him going out of Nigeria or arriving in his preferred destination in a foreign land.

Assuming that he really did travel out one wonders which country he was ferried to, whether he went there on his feet or on his back and whether he is presently on admission in a hospital or resides in a private or official residence.

The Presidency claims that he is still alive and we sincerely hope that this is the case.

Yet many have their doubts simply because it has been proved over and over again that the Federal Government are nothing but a nest of vipers and a brood of pernicous and pathological liars.

They lie as if there is no tomorrow and consequently few believe anything that they say including the assertion that the President is still alive or that he is running the affairs of our nation from his sick bed in the United Kingdom.

The truth is that if the Presidency or the Federal Government told us that it was day outside most of us would be forced to assume that it was night.

That is how skeptical the more discerning amongst us are about what those in power tell us.

Between the rulers and the ruled in Nigeria today there is no trust.

Consequently we are under no obligation, given their compulsive and sociopathic affinity for mendacities and deceit, to believe anything that the Buhari admnistration or the Presidency tells us.

The bottom line is this: if the President is dead, stop playing games, tell us the truth, bury him with dignity and let his soul rest in peace.

If he is alive let us know exactly what has afflicted him, what his condition is, where he is, how he is doing and, most important of all, give us PROOF OF LIFE.

Anything short of treading one of these two paths is not only dishonorable but also utterly reprehensible and amounts to nothing less than a glaring and singular insult to the collective sensibilities of the Nigerian people. Simply put, we have a right to know the truth.

The usage of lies, deceit, secrecy, subterfuge and disinformation in the administration of governance coupled with the promotion of indiscipline, the encouragement of impunity, the disobedience of court orders, the undermining of the rule of law, the destruction of democratic institutions and the lack of fairness and justice are the worst forms of corruption.

Sadly this government, more than any other in the history of our country, is guilty of each and everyone of these grave charges. This is deeply troubling and it gives us cause not only for concern but also deep introspection.

Meanwhile we congratulate Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for finally signing the 2017 budget. Even though we are already half way through the year, as they say, it is better late than never.

This is a step in the right direction and it is worthy of applause and commendation. However what causes some consternation and beggars belief is the asinine and childish assertion by Mr. Shehu Garbage of the Presidency that President Buhari "gave his permission" for the Acting President to sign it.

Honestly when I heard this contribution I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. I was constrained to ask when the Presidency had transformed from being Nigeria's most powerful and exalted seat of power into a theater of comedy and a home for second rate comedians.

These people will do and say anything to hide or distort the truth and to humiliate and undermine the authority and standing of Acting President Osinbajo.

And the fact that Osinbajo allows them to get away with it is an eloquent testimony to his nauseating weakness and inability to take control and administer power in the way that he is expected to do.

After all we do not operate a monarchial system of government in Nigeria and Buhari is not a King. He does not have any "divine rights" and he is not a deity or a ruler with absolute powers.

He is simply a democratically-elected President who is bound by the rules and conventions of the constitution and who is meant to be nothing more than a servant of the people.

In this context the question that needs to be answered is simple and clear and that question is as follows.

Does an Acting President need the permission of a sick, AWOL and bed-ridden President, who has been compelled by his debilitating ill-health to formally hand over power to his second-in-command as the constitution dictates, to sign the budget? The answer is a resounding "no".

This is especially so when we have been intimated and informed by an excitable, well-known and rabidly pro-government and fanatically pro-APC online medium known as Saharareporters that the President is in a "vegetative state" and that he "cannot speak to those around him or recognise his environment".

If the Presidents friends and supporters can write and publish such things about his medical condition what are the rest of us supposed to think or believe?

We have been assured by that medium that his situation is so critical that even his wife was barred from seeing him when she travelled all the way to the United Kingdom to do so.

If this is true (and up until the time that I am writing this contribution it has not been publicly refuted or denied) it raises some very serious questions and the first one of those questions is why the Presidency and the Federal Government deem it appropiate to hide the truth from the Nigerian people?

Yet it does not stop there. Mr. Eric Joyce, the well-known British ex-military, ex-Member of Parliament and serving MI6 operative who has always had a special interest in Nigeria and who has always been an ardent supporter and friend of the President and his government has come out boldly to suggest that Buhari is dead and he has challenged the Nigerian people to ask the Presidency for proof of life. His words:

"For now, with no sight nor sound of the President and no proof even of life for some time, it seems that in a bid to manage the succession the Presidency may be lying to the public about the Presidents health or even life, and making Nigeria’s democratic status a mockery into the bargain".

If we choose to reject Joyce's suggestion that Buhari is dead and instead we accept the narrative that he is still alive but bed-ridden and critically ill, the assertion that he is in a position to "give permission" for the budget to be signed remains equally childish and absurd.

And the truth is that the Villa rats that made that astounding assertion are talking and behaving like second rate actors and low-level performers in an X-rated, sleazy and seedy Parisian porn film and Swedish blue movie.

All you hear from them are animal-like grunts and groans and loud, fake orgasms.

This is corpsocracy in its most glaring, repugnant, primitive and repulsive form. It is a squalid and sordid attempt to impose a godless and alien system of governance which can be best described as the "rulership of the living by the dead" on the Nigerian people.

Nigeria cannot be ruled from the grave. She cannot and must not be ruled by the dark and faceless agents and sinister emissaries of a shrouded and embalmed Egyptian-like entombed mummy or the surrogates of a corpse that is either stone-cold dead or is dead to to the world and barely alive.

We deserve far better than that and we have the right to be told the truth no matter how bitter that truth may be.

The fact of the matter is that anyone that believes anything that this evil government tells them is truly lost.

The truth is that it was not Buhari that gave Osinbajo permission to sign the budget but rather evil mafia and dark cabal that runs this country in his name.

If those that put that statement out were not utterly shameless how can they even say publicly that an Acting President who is more than capable of running the country has to wait for permission or for backing from a sick President that no-one has seen or heard from in weeks to sign a budget six months into the fiscal year.

Clearly these people are drunk on power and it has affected their ability to reason properly or think straight. Clearly Nigeria is in a precarious position right now.

Our government is a government of liars who are sustained by lies, who live by lies and who will die by lies.

Their spiritual foundation and the very essence of their being is built on nothing but perfidy and mendacity.

Their souls are dark, their spirits are corrupt and their consciences are seared beyond redemption.

The shedding of human blood is their delight, the sacrifice of the innocents is their pleasure and the administration of disaster, hardship and misery is their joy.

They are nothing but sadists whose declared intention is to keep us in bondage and rule for another "two hundred years".

And even as our people are dying of hunger and being slaughtered on a daily basis by Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram they offer no apology for their shameful and glaring incompetence and neither do they display any remorse for their inability to protect the people that they were elected to serve and defend.

Instead of doing that all they do is just tell us one lie after the other. For example when asked about Buhari's medical condition the Minister of Information, Mr. Lai Mohammed, had the effrontery and nerve to tell Channels Television that "President Buhari is alive and well and he talks to Acting President Osinbajo every day!"

If anyone believes that hogwash they will believe anything! And the minute Lai said it his already big, fat and oversized nose grew ten inches longer.

What a terrible plague and affliction has befallen our nation. That plague and affliction is known as Muhammadu Buhari and his clandestine cabal of sinister and byzantian tormentors.

May God deliver Nigeria from their evil claws and mendacious clutches?
