The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered the immediate release of 35 people arrested Saturday at the #OccupyLekkiTollGate protest once they met the bail conditions, reports ITREALMS.

A Lagos-based human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mr. Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, has decried the arrest, detention and dehumanization of of some Nigerians over peaceful protest at the #OccupyLekkiTollGate on Saturday, declaring it unacceptable, reports ITREALMS.
Adegboruwa who is currently serving in the #EndSARS Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made this known in a public statement available to ITREALMS and reminded Mr. President, General Muhammadu Buhari that his presidency is a product of protest.

Lagos NUJ names LightHouse after late Lateef Jakande - ITREALMS

The hierarchy of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council has named its Light House in Victoria Island, Lagos after the first civilian Governor of Lagos State, Late Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande, reports ITREALMS.

The Light House land was donated to NUJ Lagos Council by Jakande who was the sitting governor of Lagos State between 1979 and 1983.
