Some187 deaths have so far been recorded in the 2023 general elections in Nigeria, reports ITREALMS.
This was disclosed to ITREALMS by the Executive Director, Human Rights Advancement Development and Advocacy Centre (HURIDAC), Mr. Ayodele Ameen at the launch of the group's report "A Human Rights Perspective of the 2023 National Elections in Nigeria" co-produced with the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) in Lagos.

The Nigeria Police, on Tuesday arrested a couple of cyber criminals suspected to have aided the manipulations of the 2023 General Elections, ITREALMS can confirm.Those arrested at a residential building cum operational office block of Emperor Technology Company Limited are currently helping the Police in the investigation.

2023 elections must hold @Idemili South despite office attack says INEC - ITREALMS

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that despite attack at its office in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, the people of the area should brace up for 2023 general elections as scheduled, reports ITREALMS.
Although the building was substantially damaged, INEC reassured they are working at replacing those materials as contingency arrangement has commenced.

Danbatta @GOCOP confab'22: Telecom infrastructure critical to successful 2023 Elections - ITREALMS

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Danbatta, has said telecom infrastructure is very critical to successful 2023 elections, therefore, every Nigerian in every community should join hands in protecting it for the benefit of the country, reports ITREALMS.Danbatta, who was special guest at the 6th Edition of the Annual Conference of Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) in Lagos at the weekend, with focus on the forthcoming election and the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu in attendance, said with the planned transmission of election data and results riding on telecom infrastructure, there was need to ensure the fidelity of the transmission systems to enhance the credibility of such data.

EU to Nigerian youths: Participate actively in 2023 elections, shun violence - ITREALMS

The European Union has urged Nigerian youths to go beyond obtaining their voter's card to participate actively in the upcoming 2023 general elections and ensure that they influence the outcome.
The head of the European Union (EU) delegation to Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Ambassador Samuela Isopi described the 2023 polls as a critical time for young people in the country as it presents another opportunity for youths to be part of the decision making process.

The Association for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities of Nigeria (AIDDN), has called on government at all levels to make policies that will enable them to vote candidates of their choice in every election in Nigeria, especially the up-coming 2023 general elections, reports ITREALMS.The group also called on well-meaning Nigerians to stop discrimination against people living with disabilities in the society.
