The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has commenced a 3-day in-house training programme, to enhance the operational efficacy and service delivery standards of senior officers, reports ITREALMS.
A press statement available to ITREALMS endorsed by the Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, LASTMA, Adebayo Taofiq, the opening ceremony was declared open on Monday at the LASTMA headquarters by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Transportation, Hon. Sola Giwa.

Customs FOU Zone C, decorates promoted officers - ITREALMS

The Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone “C” Owerri, has decorated 46 newly promoted officers in the zone even as it recorded seizures worth N5,351,826,390 billion, in total Duty Paid Value (DPV) for the 2023 fiscal year, reports ITREALMS.

This was contained in a press release made available to ITREALMS by the Zone’s public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) Jerry Attah Wednesday, informing that the breakdown of the promotion showed that three officers were promoted from the rank of Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) to the rank of Assistant Comptroller (AC); Five officers from Superintendent of Customs (SC) to Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) and Three officers from the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Customs (DSC) to SC.

The Customs Officers' Wives Association (COWA) Onne Area 11 Command has commissioned a Secretariat, Canteen and unisex Salon, donates food items to widows of the Command, reports ITREALMS.The association, ITREALMS gathered that the measure was part of efforts to improve the welfare of officers’ wives at the Port Harcourt Area 11 Customs Command, Onne Rivers State.

Confirmed: Unknown gunmen invade NDA, abduct some officers - ITREALMS

It has been confirmed that unknown gunmen have invaded the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) on Tuesday morning, killing some two personnel and abducting one, reports ITREALMS.
Academy Public Relations Officer, Major Bashir Muhd Jajira in a press statement available to ITREALMS said that the security architecture of the Nigerian Defence Academy, "was compromised early this morning by unknown gunmen."

Intel lauds NPF on PC acquisition programme for officers
Intel Corporation has lauded the Nigerian Police Force (NPF)
over the launch of a Computer Acquisition Programme (CAP) for the men and women
of the force, reports ITRealms.
Country Manager, Intel Corporation, Mr. Olunbunmi Ekundare
gave this commendation Wednesday in Lagos, at the Zone 2 Police Command during
the formal launch of the programme.
He described the programme as novel and first of its kind
and urged other security agencies to take a cue from NPF in this regards.
“This is the first of its kind in this country to have
computer acquisition programme with the support of the NPF Microfinance bank,”
he said.
Ekundare also said that Intel is a chip-technology
manufacturer, usually embedded in the computers and devices being used daily
unknown to many.
He further said that the focus of Intel in the region is
education through digital training and creation of jobs, stressing that when
people well trained on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) they
could create jobs and definitely employ other people.
The brand of computers on offer cuts across HP, Lenovo to
name a few.
