Airtel Africa plc has officially made history as the first telecommunications operator on the African continent to commercially deploy Starlink Mobile satellite-to-mobile service, choosing the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) as its launchpad, reports ITREALMS.The breakthrough service allows Airtel DRC subscribers equipped with compatible LTE smartphones to maintain seamless connectivity across non-terrestrial areas wherever they have a direct view of the sky, completely eliminating traditional mobile dead zones.
