The Afinni Job Ready Programme, a one-month employability and soft skills training initiative for fresh graduates, graduates, and job seekers in Lagos Island II, has entered its second phase, reports ITREALMS.

Participants, ITREALMS gathered, are now focusing on cleaning up their social media profiles, re-strategizing their personal branding, and preparing for mock interviews to enhance their chances of success in the upcoming job fair.

Stakeholders in the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) sector are gearing up for the 2023 ITREALMS E-Waste Dialogue slated for this Friday, at Welcome Centre Hotels, International Airport Road, Ikeja, Lagos by 9am.

This is coming as the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Nigerian Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORECON) and E-Waste Producer Responsibility Organisation of Nigeria (EPRON) are warming up among other members of stakeholders for the dialogue on December 15, 2023 with theme: You Can recycle anything with a plug, battery or cable.

... Organisers announce ATAEx voting portal

The third edition of the Africa Tech Alliance Forum (AfriTECH 3.0) is scheduled to hold on the 8th of November 2023 at the Providence Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, themed: “Technology-as-a-Service (TaaS) in Emerging Economy.”

Similarly, voting has commenced for the Africa Tech Alliance Excellence (ATAEx) awards. 

2012 Blog Action Day gets date

Bloggers all over the world are gearing up for the 2012 Blog Action Day (BAD) which has now been fixed for October 15, 2012, this year.

The event, which comes with the theme “The Power of We” while bloggers could also use the #powerofwe hashtag, and invited registrations for Blog Action Day.

Explaining the theme for this year, the coordinators, said that the firstly, the popularity of the subjects Community, Equality, Transparency/Anti-Corruption and Freedom, in the theme poll have ran via Facebook and Twitter, over the last few weeks.
Secondly, “we felt that Blog Action Day needed to reflect the ever growing movements of people working together for positive social change.”

Whether using digital tools like blogs, social networks and mobiles, or meeting face to face in local community halls, neighbours house, and public streets, that greater numbers of people have been coming together to make change, either for their own communities or the world at large.
For the team at Blog Action Day, they see The Power of We as a celebration of people working together to make a positive difference in the world, and hope participants take part actively.
