ALTON confirms damaged submarine cable along West Africa causes service disruption - ITREALMS

The Association of Licensed Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) has confirmed to ITREALMS that damaged submarine cable along the West Africa coast caused the service disruptions on Thursday.
A press statement from ALTON signed by its chairman, Engr. Engr. Gbenga Adebayo and Executive Secretary, Mr. Gbolahan Awonuga late Thursday affirmed cable cut and therefore wished to inform the general public on behalf of some members of the association that some subscribers may be experiencing challenges with accessing data services and low Internet speed.
