The Anambra State Government has developed a malicious and deliberately fabricated online publication and social media comments alleging that Governor Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo consulted a native doctor regarding his reelection prospects, reports ITREALMS.

The video clip being circulated was taken during a recent official government meeting with Anambra-based content creators. The session aimed to strengthen the partnership between the State Government and the creative industry.

Ofcom commences consultation on online safety regime - ITREALMS

The Office of Communications (Ofcom) in the United Kingdom (UK) has launched the first of its consultations on the online safety regime in the UK (Online Safety Act 2023) reports ITREALMS.

NCC to hold consultation on corporate governance in telecom

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has concluded plans to host stakeholders to a one-day forum on corporate governance in the telecommunications industry in Lagos, reports ITRealms.

A public statement made available to ITRealms, showed that the forum would hold Tuesday, June 21st, this year at Sheraton Lagos Hotel, Ikeja by 9am.

According to the Director, Public Affairs at NCC, Mr. Tony Ojobo, the Commission beckons on all critical stakeholders comprising but not limited to telecommunications companies, investors, financiers, Value Added Service (VAS) operators and industry experts.

Ojobo also confirmed, formal invitation have been extended to industry players, including Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), Association of Licensed Telecoms Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), National Association of Telecoms Subscribers of Nigeria (NATCOMS), Nigeria Internet Group (NIG), and other stakeholders.

“Deliberations at the Forum shall usher in a new Code of Corporate Governance for the Sector,” he said.

ITRealms further reports that the consultative forum is in line with the Commission's Practice of Industry-wide consultations.

Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi emerges new Ooni of Ife


Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has emerged the new Ooni of Ife after the traditional kingmakers from within the family chose him from the descendents of the Yoruba god Oduduwa in consultation with their oracle, Ifa, ITRealms reports.

The 40-year-old prince and real estate magnate from the Giesi Ruling House  in Ife kingdom was selected after the demise of the  previous Ooni of Ife, Oba Sijuwade, who died in July at the age of 85.

ITRealms gathered that the Secretary to the Osun State Government announced that the selection of the new Ooni followed the completion of all processes for the filling of the exalted stool.

Ogunwusi becomes the 51st Ooni of Ife having defeated the other 21 candidates presented by the Giesi ruling house for the exalted stool.

The statement, made available to Premium Times has it that, “The Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola has approved the appointment of a new Ooni of Ife. It read:

“He is Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi of Giesi Ruling House of Ile-Ife, State of Osun.

“This choice follows the completion of the due process by the kingmakers and the communication of their decision to Government.”

Mr. Ogunwusi attended The Polytechnic of Ibadan, where he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy.  He is also a certified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and of the Institute of Management. After school, he grew swiftly in business, to become a successful real estate merchant, ITRealms learnt.
