This came as part of the official events of the Social Media Week 2015, which ended recently in Lagos, where Ynaija honoured 100 most innovative persons in the Nigerian technology space.

Most of this year's honourees expressed joy that their modest efforts in the fledging tech ecosystem is being noticed and it serves as a motivation to innovate some more. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr. who was a recipient of this year's award thanked the organisers for making this an annual event and urged them to work harder towards searching out more tech innovators from unusual places.

The event, tagged the #YTech100, is an annual cocktail and networking event hosted by YNaija.com and this year's event was held at Terra Kulture. In the past, honorees have been selected from industry leaders at iROKO and Konga, as well as from the emerging visionaries at SPARK and the Co-Creation Hub, among others.
