Like the commercial centre of the country, Lagos State, the Oyo State Government has declared Wednesday, August 20, 2025, a work-free day to commemorate the Isese Day Celebration.
According to Professor Olanike K. Adeyemo, Secretary to the State Government, Governor Seyi Makinde approved the work-free day to allow traditional religion worshippers and residents to mark the occasion.

The Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has approved August 20 of every year as Isese Day in the state, reports ITREALMS.
The governor also declared Monday, August 21, 2023 as the maiden public holiday to commemorate the day.
