To strengthen regional regulatory synergy, the Director General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Board (ART) of the Republic of Cameroon, Philemon Zoo Zame, led a high-powered delegation to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Head Office on May 6, 2026, reports ITREALMS.
The visit, hosted by the Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the NCC, Aminu Maida, served as a strategic benchmarking exercise aimed at exchanging best practices in spectrum management, consumer protection, and digital infrastructure expansion.
During the engagement, both regulators discussed the evolving landscape of African telecommunications, focusing on how cross-border collaboration can accelerate the continent's digital economy.
The ART delegation’s choice of Nigeria for its benchmarking reflects the NCC’s growing reputation as a continental leader in robust regulatory frameworks and innovative policy implementation.
