The innovation was born out of necessity after the company's recycling partner in Lusaka, Castro Shanobe, endured nearly 18 months without reliable electricity.
Between early 2024 and 2026, load-shedding reached upwards of 20 hours a day, providing a standard prerequisite for a technological shift that moves past the traditional shadows of grid dependency.
