A student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State in the Department of Economics, Ms Sophia Oluchi Nwafor has emerged the star prize winner as the 'Most Innovative Content Creator' at the just concluded Anambra Innovative Week, reports ITREALMS.

Sophia, who hails from Urum in Awka-North Local Government Area was presented her prize worth N2m, by the Anambra State governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, alongside the convener and Special Adviser on Innovation and Startup Incubation, Chinwe Okoli on Friday at the State capital, Awka.

History of Kegites Club International:
Kegite Club International known also as Supreme Comradium can be traced to thirteen students of the then Nigerian College of Arts, Science and Technology, who gathered themselves every evening to relax after a hard day's work in the College in Ibadan then. However, upon hearing that their college would become a university the next morning, their excitement metamorphosed into ecstasy for being the first set of undergraduates of the new University of Ife Ile Ife.

The thirteen foundation students became the executives and membership of the Club which the christened The Palm Wine Drinkerds Club. Periodically they donated palm wine for the consumption of the group in turns. History was made as they became founding members of the first higher institution socio-cultural club in the world. All this occurred while they were at the Ibadan campus before they were moved to the permanent site in Ile-Ife.

One of the primary factors contributing to the frequency of tanker accidents in Nigeria is the state of the country’s roads. Media Rights Agenda (MRA) has condemned in strong terms a recent statement by a group of individuals describing themselves as Save Nigeria Movement (SNM) urging the Police and other security agencies to "checkmate" the activities of non-state actors allegedly blackmailing and extorting government officials using the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act.

The SNM, in a statement jointly signed by Rev Solomon Semaka and Dr Richard Oduma, who described themselves as the Task Force on Illegal CSOs co-conveners, called on the Inspector-General of Police and the intelligence services to strengthen their efforts and beam their searchlight on the activities of criminal syndicates which specialised in blackmailing and extorting unsuspecting government officials using the FOI Act.
