The Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of NCC, Professor Umar Garba Danbatta, has canvassed on private and public institutions to leverage Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to digitise their hard copy knowledge materials to make them more efficiently accessible to their workforce and external stakeholders, reports ITREALMS.

Danbatta made the call on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, when the Commission joined the rest of the world to celebrate the 2021 Library Day with the theme: "Welcome to Your Library.”

The Peoples Gazette (PG) has uncovered how the Buhari administration provided seed capital for Adamu Garba’s Crowwe social media platform, hoping the firm would help the government dominate internal narratives while squaring an ardent challenge to Facebook and Twitter for the Nigerian audience.

The Gazette obtained bank documents that carried a transfer of funds from the Central Bank of Nigeria to Mr Garba’s IPI Solutions, a software engineering firm run by Mr Garba. The company developed and deployed the Crowwe social media app.

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi spike glowingly of the late Prof Francisca Aladejana, former Provost of the College of Education, Ikere- Ekiti, at her funeral mass held at the St Patrick's Catholic cathedral, Ado Ekiti on Thursday. He described the deceased as a rare breed scholar and administrator who loved and served the state passionately.

Prof Aladejana aged 62 years, was until her death, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Basic, Secondary and Vocational Education. She had previously served as Chairperson of the State’s Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

A media organization, Signature TV has called on the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to probe some staff of the National Examination Council (NECO) for engaging in examination scandals at a centre in Kaduna State.

The call was made by the Chief Executive Officer of Signature TV, Mr. VinMartin Obiora Ilo, during the unveiling of Corruption Tori Season Two in Abuja, recently.
