A shocking revelation recently rocked the academic community as the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) admitted that a critical lapse in server patch deployment and human error led to the invalidation of results for 379,997 candidates in Lagos and five South-East states who sat the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

A combination of American Army and Department of State Security (DSS) team stormed the Phase 3 of Trademore Estate in Lugbe, Abuja, on a sting operation, with explosive and pistols recovered, reports ITREALMS. 

Reports reaching ITREALMS news desk informed that a high-powered sting operation took place at the Phase 3 of the Trademore Estate in Lugbe, Wednesday afternoon, culminating in a complete shutdown of the estate.

The office of the Prosecutor General in Lintulahdenkuja4 Helsinki Finland have been served with court papers to apprehend, detain and prosecute the name Simon Ekpa Njoku, reports ITREALMS.

Ekpa, ITREALMS gathered from the warrant, is a non-registered member of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) who intentionally without authorization or approval by the Directorate of State of IPOB (DOS).

Benue: Herdsmen attack is terrorism - Archbishop Martins

The Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, His Grace Most Rev Dr Alfred Adewale Martins has condemned in strong terms the recent killing of over 75 innocent villagers in parts of Benue and Adamawa States, describing it as an act of terrorism, reports ITRealms.

Archbishop Martins while commiserating with the family members and relations of the deceased said the attack is a national calamity that must be seen as an act of terrorism.

He also described as most unfortunate and regrettable the failure of the Federal Government under President Muhammadu Buhari to effectively protect the lives and properties of the citizens from the hands of the marauders.

The visibly angry clergy man wondered why the FG incessantly failed to arrest the perpetrators and sponsors of the heinous crimes. 

"We often see people who openly come out in the media to justify the callous actions of the criminals while issuing threats that the killing would continue even as they deny knowing those who are responsible," he decried.

Pointing out that such inaction by the authorities was capable of sending the wrong signal to the masses that the marauding herdsmen are indeed above the law of the nation.

“While we acknowledge the efforts being made to beef up security in the affected places at this time, we cannot but say that it has come too late for those who have already been killed and those who have been maimed and inflicted with life-changing injuries," Martins said.

The Federal Government, he said, owes the nation the responsibility to ensure peace and equal attention to threats to peace across board. For instance, the failure to deploy the military to the affected areas to protect the people and flush out the perpetrators in spite of the various letters purportedly forwarded to the Presidency  by Governor Ortom of Benue State, gives one the impression that the matter was not given the serious attention that it deserved as was done in Niger Delta and the North East. Like many others, I feel strongly that the barbaric actions of the gun totting herdsmen and similar groups like them should be likened to acts of terrorism and should be so designated. We would like to have a clear idea of what it means to create cattle colonies in the various states in order to know about the proposed  lasting solution to these killings.”

While urging the Federal Government to urgently call an all-stakeholders meeting in Abuja to seriously appraise the root cause of the conflicts and find amicable solutions to them, insisting that cattle rearing remain a private  enterprise which  should be subject to similar laws guiding business enterprises across the country. 

“If the cost of doing the business in a sustainable way is too high for individual cattle owners, then banks should be given the mandate to provide loans at favourable terms in the same way as they provide for poultry farmers, for example.

Archbishop Martins went on to pray God to grant the souls of the departed eternal rest, healing to the wounded and consolation to those who mourn.

Boko Haram takes Buhari to Obama

Details of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the United States of America have emerged as the President’s Special Adviser on Media, Femi Adesina said the official visit will “strengthen and intensify bilateral and international cooperation against terrorism in Nigeria and West-Africa.”

ITRealms reports that threat posed by Boko Haram militants is expected to top the agenda. According to the statement, President Buhari will meet with the United States Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey, and the Secretary of Defense, Robert Work.

The two presidents, along with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, ITRealms gathered, will also likely discuss proposed political and economic reforms in Nigeria aimed at ending widespread corruption. The four-day trip is Buhari's first to Washington since being elected in March and taking office in May in a landmark peaceful transition of power in Nigeria.

Buhari will meet with West African diplomats, World Bank executives, and members of the U.S. Congress.  He is scheduled to hold a town hall meeting with Nigerians on Tuesday.

U.S. relations with Nigeria, ITRealms reports, soured over failures by the government and military  to locate more than 200 schoolgirls, most of them Christian, who were kidnapped by Boko Haram from the northern town of Chibok in April 2014. The abduction led to international condemnation and a campaign to “Bring Back Our Girls” that reached as far as the White House.

The former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan was reportedly angered by the U.S. refusal to sell his government helicopter gunships and retaliated by halting a U.S. military training program. However, relations between the two countries are expected to improve under Buhari, a 72-year-old former military dictator who has pledged allegiance to democracy and promised to address U.S. concerns.

Buhari’s visit to Washington barely two months after taking office is said to be indication of  the  importance the U.S. places on relations with Nigeria. Obama extended the invitation immediately after Buhari was declared the winner of the March election.

1 year after: Give us our girls back, alive – BBOG

“When will we stop? Until our girls are back and alive!...” Those were the words of The #BringBackOurGirls group as they march out today in protest as part of its one Week Global Action events aimed at commemorating the one year the Chibok girls were abducted from their school in Borno State, reports ITRealms.

ITRealms learnt that the march took off at the Unity Fountain, as the group walked through the Federal Secretariat to the Police Headquarters and back to the Fountain while distributing its pamphlets, including its Citizens’ Solution to Terrorism, to the public.

According to one its members, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, who led the group, the protest was to remind the government and Nigerians that 219 Chibok girls were still in the hands of their captors even as the days are rounding up to a year when the incident occurred.

In a recent development, ITRealms gathered that a Nigerian woman have confirmed to BBC that more than fifty of the girls abducted by Boko Haram last year were seen alive three weeks ago. According to the woman, who lived under the terrorist groups rule in Gwoza, the girls were seen in Islamic attire, being escorted by the militants.

“They said they were Chibok girls kept in a big house,” said the woman. “We just happened to be on the same road with them,” she added.

Meanwhile ITRealms learnt that the president-elect, General Mohammadu Buhari, has stated that he does not know the whereabouts of the Chibok girls and cannot guarantee that his government when sworn-in will be able to rescue them.

Speaking in commemoration of BBOG, he pledged that with absolute certainty, starting on the first day of his administration Boko Haram will know the strength of the collective will and commitment to rid this nation of terror, and bring back peace and normalcy to all the affected areas.

“This new approach,” Buhari said, “must also begin with honesty. We do not know if the Chibok girls can be rescued. Their whereabouts remain unknown. As much as I wish to, I cannot promise that we can find them.But I say to every parent, family member and friend of the children that my Government will do everything in its power to bring them home.”

ITRealms recalled that today, April 14 marked the first year since the 276 girls were kidnapped by the members of Boko Haram from their school in Chibok, Borno state, whereas some of them have reportedly returned.
