The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance (FBRA), and MTN Nigeria have confirmed their participation in the Africa Sustainability Forum 2026. The forum will convene leaders and practitioners across government, regulation, finance, civil society, and the corporate sector to explore practical pathways for sustainable development across Africa. Key institutional participants bring diverse and critical perspectives:

NCC: Focuses on the intersection of sustainable digital infrastructure, connectivity, and the digital economy. NDPC: Highlights data governance and privacy as cornerstones of a sustainable digital ecosystem. FBRA: Drives the circular economy and responsible packaging waste management through Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR). MTN Nigeria: Contributes a corporate sustainability framework centered on environmental responsibility, social impact, and a commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.

Commenting on the expanding stakeholder lineup, Elvis Eromosele, Lead Coordinator of the Africa Sustainability Forum, emphasized that sustainability requires cross-sectoral collaboration.

“Sustainability is not a conversation that belongs to one industry, one institution or one group of stakeholders,” Eromosele stated. “The challenges we face are interconnected, and so must be the solutions. Bringing regulators, businesses and industry-led sustainability platforms into the same room creates an opportunity to examine what is working, identify the gaps and, importantly, explore how we can move from commitments to practical action.”

The event will feature robust discussions on the intersection of just transitions, green growth, responsible business, climate action, and digital transformation, fostering partnerships to drive sustainable outcomes across the continent.
