The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has announced the addition of the Lagos, Delta, Imo, and Ekiti state governments, alongside Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), Access Bank Plc, and the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), as partners for its landmark 10th Annual Conference, reports ITREALMS.

The two-day conference opens on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos.

​The opening day focuses on media sustainability and innovation, featuring three key presentations:
​Max Amuchie, Publisher of Sundiata Post, will speak on “The Sundiata Post Model: Building the African Newsroom for the Long Term.”
​Biodun Durojaiye, Publisher of The Lagos Times, will present on “AI and Prompt Engineering for Online Publishing.”
​Dr. Monday Ashibogwu, Publisher of Quick News, will lead a session on “Monetisation of Digital Media Business.”

​The morning sessions will be followed by a networking lunch with GOCOP partners and conclude with the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).

​Thursday, October 8, shifts focus to the core national theme: “2027 Elections: Trust, Transparency and Shared Responsibilities” with key
note address to be delivered by Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan, SAN, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

​While session chair would be Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, SAN, Founding Partner of Olisa Agbakoba Legal (OAL) and former NBA President.

​Whereas the panel discussion would feature CP Abayomi Shogunle (Force Headquarters); Prof. Tayo Popoola (University of Lagos); Adaora Onyechere Sydney Jack (Gender Agenda / WEWE Network Afrique); and Lanre Arogundade (International Press Centre).

​Speaking ahead of the event, Deputy President of GOCOP and Chairman of the 2026 Conference Planning Committee, Mr. Olumide Iyanda, confirmed that all preparations are finalized.


​"All is set for our 10th anniversary conference. We are delighted that the Lagos, Imo, Delta, and Ekiti state governments, as well as Access Bank and NASENI, have joined our long list of sponsors. Their support underscores the importance of the dialogue we are convening," Iyanda said.
