Samsung introduces Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 in West Africa with AI integration - ITREALMS

The Samsung Electronics West Africa has officially introduced its newest foldable flagship lineup, the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the high-performance Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra; to the Nigerian market, reports ITREALMS. 

Built on seven generations of foldable innovation, the new series introduces refined form factors, enhanced durability through titanium engineering, and deep integration with next-generation agentic Galaxy AI features.

Engineered for seamless everyday immersion, the Galaxy Z Fold8 enters the market as Samsung’s lightest Galaxy Z Fold model to date, weighing just 201 grams. 

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy and backed by a 4,800 mAh battery, the Fold8 balances long-lasting power with an ultra-slim profile.

The device introduces a versatile display architecture designed to adapt to user content consumption:

• 10:16 Cover Screen: Provides a natural single-handed experience for quick tasks, messaging, and social updates.

• 4:3 Main Display: Unfolds into an expansive canvas optimized for gaming, media consumption, and split-screen multitasking.

• Rotated Display Orientation: Adjusts naturally for reading e-books, articles, and long-form documents.

For imaging, the Fold8 features Dual 50 MP cameras across wide and ultra-wide perspectives, supported by Dual Recording and AI-powered dynamic tracking via My FanCam.

Bringing the "Ultra" benchmark to Samsung’s foldable portfolio, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra delivers top-tier performance for power users and mobile creators. Measuring just 4.1 mm when unfolded and weighing 215 g, it stands as Samsung's slimmest Z Fold design yet.

• Camera Capabilities: Features a flagship 200 MP main sensor with enhanced High Dynamic Range (HDR), a new 50 MP ultra-wide lens, a 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and upgraded Nightography. Advanced creators also gain access to 8K video capture using the APV codec and built-in Cine LUT color controls.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Fold8 are officially open in Nigeria in Graphite and Cream finishes, with Violet Shadow exclusive to the Fold8 Ultra and Lavender exclusive to the Fold8.

To streamline transition, updated Smart Switch features allow iOS users to migrate data, including passkeys, call history, and eSIM configurations, wirelessly via a simple QR code scan, while Quick Share now features direct two-way compatibility with AirDrop.
