The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has expressed deep condolences to one of its prominent members and Publisher of NextEdition, Mrs. Victoria Ibanga, following the sad passing of her husband, reports ITREALMS.
The umbrella body of corporate online publishers in Nigeria conveyed its sympathy through an official condolence letter jointly signed by the GOCOP President, Mr. Danlami Nmodu, and the General Secretary, Mr. Sufuyan Ojeifo.
A high-level GOCOP delegation, led by the Deputy President, Mr. Olumide Iyanda, paid a condolence visit to Mrs. Ibanga at her residence on Friday to deliver the letter and offer physical solidarity to the family during this period of grief.
The letter read in part:
"On behalf of the Executive Committee and the entire membership of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP), we extend our heartfelt condolences to you on the passing of your husband.
"We received the sad news with deep sorrow. Please accept our sincere sympathy during this difficult period of grief and loss."
The Guild further prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved family as they navigate the irreparable loss.
"We pray that the Almighty God will grant you, your children, and the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May his soul rest in peace.
"Please accept, dear colleague, the assurances of our highest regards," the statement concluded.
