The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) has officially announced that the 2025 National Information Technology Merit Awards (NITMA) will hold on November 20, at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, reports ITREALMS.
NCS President, Dr. Muhammad Sirajo Aliyu, disclosed this during a press briefing, last weekend in Lagos, noting that the event would recognize and reward outstanding individuals, institutions, and governments that have contributed to advancing Information Technology (IT) development in Nigeria and beyond.
He emphasized that the awards represent the Society’s continued commitment to celebrating excellence, innovation, and leadership in the digital ecosystem.

According to Dr. Aliyu, the NITMA 2025 will also feature the conferment of Professional and Honorary Fellowships on deserving personalities who have distinguished themselves in the growth and transformation of Nigeria’s IT sector.
Reaffirming NCS’s position as Africa’s largest IT professional society with over 35,000 members, the President told ITREALMS that the society under his leadership remains committed to being strategic, innovative, and globally competitive.
He called on the media and stakeholders to give maximum coverage and support to the event, describing NITMA as “Nigeria’s most prestigious platform for celebrating IT excellence.”
