Odeyemi, Nwannenna, Folayan, Shehu bag NIRA’s presidential awards – ITREALMS

Two pioneer members of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA), Dr. Isaac Odeyemi and Dr. Chris Nwannenna, alongside the immediate past-president, Rev. Canon Sunday Folayan and former Executive Board member, Sekiru Shehu were at the weekend honoured with the NIRA’s presidential awards 2022, reports 
ITREALMS.
They were specially recognized for various roles in the foundation and evolution of NIRA, according to the association’s president, Mr. Muhammed Rudman at the 5th .ng award held in Lagos.

ITREALMS gathered Dr. Odeyemi was the pioneer chairman of the BoT and founder of Debis Computers; Dr. Nwannenna was also a member of BOT and indispensable voice in the foundation of NIRA as the former president of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), while Rev. Folayan was the immediate past president and Mr. Shehu who is currently the dean of NIRA Academy led the administrative establishment among others.

This is coming as RaveTv Tech channel emerged the Best Supporting Media Partner at the 5th .ng awards with the Head, Presentation Uni, RaveTv and tech enthusiast, Mrs Lousia Olaniyi was at hand to receive the award.

Also, ITREALMS gathered that there were recognitions for the best .ng ccTLD registrar, women development, youth development, .ng Most Supporting sponsor, and jury members.

Further, ITREALMS gathered that .ng awards celebrate the achievements and innovation of Nigerian Internet initiatives. The awards aim to showcase Nigerian businesses, individuals, charity, public and private sector organisations, which help to make the internet at more secure, open, accessible and rewarding experience for all.

ITREALMS recalls that NiRA, a Not-for-Profit, Non-Governmental Self-Regulating body manages the .ng national resource, the country code Top Level Domain(ccTLD) name space in the public interest of Nigeria and global internet communities.
