Madam Sariyu Oyetunji, the mother of the Publisher of Prompt News Online newspaper, Mr Akeem Oyetunji, is dead, reports ITRealms.
A statement endorsed by her first son, Mr Akeem Oyetunji, said Madam Sariyu, 72, died at about 11.00 am Thursday morning, at her residence in Ologuneru, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Madam Oyetunji, a devout Muslim, he said died after a brief illness.
She was also buried at 4.00pm Thursday afternoon, according to Islamic rites.
Madam Oyetunji is survived by two sons, three daughters and grand children.
