The Nigerian Communications Commission has denied any plan to demand submission of the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) from telecom subscribers' phones in the country from July this year, reports ITREALMS.
"At no time did the Commission issue a Statement regarding the registration of IMEI by subscribers and it has no plans to do so," he said.
A press statement available to ITREALMS, NCC through its Director, Public Affairs, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde, said the Commission's attention has been drawn to several media publications to this effect.
