The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has announced the postponement of its maiden annual Public Relations, Reputation, Ideas, Concepts and Excellence (PRICE) Awards and Prizes to January 25, 2026, as reported by ITREALMS Online.
The awards were originally scheduled to take place on December 7, 2025.
The core reason for the postponement, ITREALMS gathered, is to ensure full participation and that "no one is left behind," since the observance of Christmas seems to have commenced much earlier for some of the NIPR's critical stakeholders.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the Saturday’s governorship and State Assembly elections to March 18, 2023, ITREALMS reports.
This development is coming barely three days before the March 11 date as earlier slated for the state elections.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the 2019 General Elections scheduled for Saturday, 16th February 2019 and Saturday, 2nd March 2019 respectively, reports ITREALMS.
Confirming this to ITREALMS, Chairman, INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, in a press statement dated Saturday 16th February 2019 and personally signed by him, noted that INEC met on Friday 15th February 2019 and reviewed its preparations for the 2019 scheduled for Saturday 16th February 2019 and Saturday 2nd March 2019
According to him, “Following a careful review of the implementation of its logistics and operational plan and the determination to conduct free, fair and credible elections, the Commission came to the conclusion that proceeding with the elections as scheduled is no longer feasible.
“Consequently, the Commission has decided to reschedule the presidential and national assembly elections to Saturday 23rd February 2019.
“Furthermore, the Governor, State House of Assembly and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council Elections is rescheduled to Saturday 9th March 2019.
“This will afford the Commission the opportunity to address identified challenges in order to maintain the quality of our elections.
“This was a difficult decision for the Commission to tke, but necessary for the successful delivery of the elections and the consolidation of our democracy.
“The Commission will meet key stakeholders to update them on this development at 2pm on Saturday 16th February 2019 at the Abuja International Conference Centre,” Yakubu submitted.
