The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPC) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Ltd (SNEPCo) today donated vehicles including a specialised ambulance in support of security and health services in Lagos State. The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) received two vehicles while an intensive care unit ambulance was given to Federal Medical Centre, Ebute Metta.

Speaking at the handover of the security vehicles, SNEPCo’s Country Security Manager Isaac Akinjogunla, who represented Managing Director Ronald Adams, said it “underscores our support for efforts by the Lagos State Government to ensure security in the state.” He called for the “careful usage and proper maintenance of the vehicles so that residents can benefit from the donation.”

Vaccines will be delivered to countries affected by the upsurge of mpox that continues to constitute a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), just as the first shipment of 11,200 doses arrived in Nigeria on 20 December, reports ITREALMS.

A shipment of 11,200 doses, donated by the United States of America and facilitated by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, have been shipped to Abuja, Nigeria, with delivery in the country expected today. This follows agreements signed in November by Gavi to facilitate the donation of 305, 000 doses of mpox vaccine to support the global and continental response.

As part of its commitment to encourage learning and academic excellence, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) and its Joint Venture partners in OML 18 have donated a 2,300-seater state-of-the-art digital library to the Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Amassoma, Bayelsa State, reports ITREALMS.

The venture partners, ITREALMS gathered, includes the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), Total Energies EP Nigeria Ltd, Nigerian Agip Exploration Ltd, and Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria (Deepwater) Ltd.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo), have jointly equipped the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, in Delta State, with some 100 computers, reports ITREALMS.

The state-of-the-art Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre is at the 100-seater one-storey built and equipped by the NNPC and SNEPCo partnership to promote research, teaching and learning in a conducive environment.
