Realnews Magazine and Publications Limited has unveiled the panelists for its 13th Anniversary Lecture Series scheduled for Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, starting at 10:00am.
The panel will engage the theme: “Cybersecurity, Illicit Financial Flows and Achieving Agenda 2063 in Africa.”
The discussants are Lasbery Chioma Oludimu, Vice President of Global Operations and Managing Director, Yellow Card Financial Inc., Nigeria; Dr. Favour Femi-Oyewole, Group Chief Information Security Officer and Data Protection Officer at Access Bank Plc.; and Abdul Rahman M. Mustapha, Chief Operating Officer, Intelligence and Security Services Support Sector of the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU). The panel session will follow immediately after the anniversary lecture.
Oludimu, a seasoned fintech governance expert, oversees Yellow Card’s operations across 20 African countries, driving regulatory compliance, operational coordination and digital asset market growth initiatives. Her professional background spans blockchain policy, risk strategy and legal advisory engagements. She holds degrees in Law from Madonna University and the University of Lagos, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. She was named among the Top 50 Women Leaders in Financial Services in 2024.
Dr. Favour Femi-Oyewole is widely recognized as one of Africa’s leading cybersecurity executives and thought leaders. As Group Chief Information Security Officer and Data Protection Officer at Access Bank, she oversees enterprise-wide cyber risk governance. A former Group Head of Enterprise Risk Management at the Nigerian Stock Exchange, she is noted as the first African woman to become a Blockchain Certified Professional and has been active on the National Cybercrime Advisory Council. Her academic training includes the University of Liverpool, MIT, Harvard Kennedy School, Wharton, Stanford, Columbia Business School, London Business School and Oxford Saïd Business School. She holds a PhD in Management Information Systems (Cybersecurity) from Covenant University.
Rahman brings a strategic intelligence perspective rooted in financial security, counter-terrorism financing and inter-agency coordination. His work at the NFIU and collaborations with Nigerian defence intelligence platforms have supported efforts to curb illicit financial flows, enhance AML/CFT frameworks and strengthen intelligence fusion across national threat response systems. His background includes research and policy roles linked to the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps, and the Office of the National Security Adviser.
Realnews earlier confirmed that Justice Ayotunde Phillips, former Chief Judge of Lagos State and former Chairman of LASIEC, will chair the lecture and moderate discussions. The names of the Guest Speaker and Keynote Presenter are expected to be announced soon.
