The Transparency Nigeria Group (TNG) has asked the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to immediately dismiss Mr Ademola Ademise, the chief executive of Wema Bank Plc, a tier-3 lender quoted on the NGX,over suspected fraudulent cover for Alpha-Beta, reports ITREALMS.

TNG in a press statement available to
ITREALMS, said it believes that Mr Ademise has grossly abused his office as the chief executive officer of Wema Bank Plc and contravened several extant regulations of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
According to TNG, under Mr Adebise's watch, Wema Bank covered up a massive fraudulent scheme perpetrated by companies and proxies of the All Progressives' Congress presidential candidate Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
TNG also said that in foregoing, Mr Adebise failed in his fiduciary duties and allowed a powerful politician to use Wema Bank as a clearing house for laundered funds.
