The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has warned that the sale, installation and use of telecommunications, especially telecom boosters without authorization, may land culprits into jail because it is illegal, reports ITREALMS.
NCC in an animated notice warned the general public to desist from patronizing unauthorized installation in their premises.
“It is illegal and punishable by law,” the regulator declared.
NCC also said that illegal installation and use of telecommunications boosters for deployment of services causes interference and degrades quality of services on telecom networks.

Insisting that using boosters without authorisation is illegal, according to NCC, it could cause interference, and other forms of network instability.
NCC equally said that those found in such an act will be prosecuted.
"Do not participate in this act. Offenders will be prosecuted," officials said
