Four journalists die of COVID-19 - ITREALMS

ITREALMS:

No less than four journalists have been reported dead over their contract of the Chinese Virus-19 also known as CoronaVirus or COVID-19, reports ITREALMS.

Out of this figure, ITREALMS gathered that three were from Africa and one in the United States of America (USA).

ITREALMS also gathered that in Africa, the state of Tanzania recorded three journalists who succumbed to the cool hand of COVID-19, while the city of New York witnessed one.

For Tanzania, ITREALMS gathered for instance that Lutengano Haonga and IT Manager, Joseph Kambangwa, passed on at the weekend. While about 12 earlier, another journalist named Marin died due to associate COVID-19.

Further, a popular sports photographer, Anthony Causi has died of Coronavirus weeks after he took to Instagram declaring his plans for post-recovery of COVID-19.

Causi died on Sunday, April 12, 2020, leaving behind a wife and two children as well as parents and siblings.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, there is no new state reported COVID-19 in Nigeria, but has 323 cases, whereas the total number of affected states in Nigeria is 20.

As at April 12, 2020, there were five new cases reported – Lagos (2), Kwara (2) and Katsina (1), just as the Director-General of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu met with the Lagos State EOC to strengthen alignment and harmonisation of the ongoing COVID-19 response.
