Visafone roams to 200 countries

Leading Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) operator, Visafone Communications Limited, has launched its international roaming services in over 200 countries and on 400 networks worldwide.

This, the operator said would offer both the prepaid and postpaid customers opportunity to enjoy seamless access to international roaming, cutting across Europe, America, Middle East, Asia, Africa among others.

The chief executive officer, Visafone Communications, Mr. Ramachandran Balachandra, noted that by this milestone, the telecom operator has become the first CDMA network in Africa to launch international roaming services to all telecommunication networks.

According to him, the company achieved this by dint of hardwork, relentless innovation and determination to serve its customers better.

“This has once again positioned Visafone as the first CDMA network in Africa to have launched this service by offering customers the platform to make calls to all networks while abroad,” he said.

He explained that Visafone’s international roaming is aimed at delivering improved experience and flawless connectivity to Visafone customers whenever they travel out of Nigeria.

“This empowers them to have unhindered access to voice and SMS across the world,” he said.

Further, he said, Visafone is offering customers’ 128k dual mode Open Market Handset (OMH) Subscirber Identification Module (SIM) cards, that is, a Visafone and option to add any other SIM from Global System for Mobile (GSM) networks.

This, he said, guarantees flexibility thereby enabling Visafone customers to use Visafone SIM cards on their GSM handsets while roaming abroad.

Balachandran equally said the network’s tag-line of giving millions of customers the passport to reach the world is hugely amplified by this landmark achievement.

The launch of the international roaming services is a conscious effort on the part of Visafone to continually provide world-class and efficient services to its valued customers no matter where they live or work.

“No doubt, this will truly expand our customers access to mobile telephony as they can now do business and stay connected to their family members and loved ones when they travel out of the country,” he asserted.
