Southwood to speak @ VoIP on impacts

Chief executive of Balancing Act, United Kingdom, Mr. Russell Southwood, would be delivering a keynote at the forthcoming third Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) forum in Lagos.

This is coming as the forum organisers has shifted the dates by one month, that is, from July 30 through August 1, but would not be August 21 to 23.

Mr. Southwood’s keynote would examine how VoIP impacts on voice markets.

The organisers, African Information Technology Conference and Exhibition (AITEC), also said that Mr. Southwood would dwell on how grey markets operate, the scale and extent.

Equally, he would be touching on what the legalised VoIP means and has to offer in different countries and forecast on VoIP competition, when widely available among others.

Additionally, Managing Director, Skannet Nigeria Limited, Mr. Sunday Folayan, would be among speakers at the third annual African Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) forum.

Mr. Folayan, who would be taking the forum on the first interactive workshop for corporate users, is expected to provide an elaborate introduction to VoIP.

He would be joined by Sales Director Africa at iBasis United States, Mr. Mawuli Tse, who is to take participants on international VoIP links, even as Dr. Gillian Marcelle, a principal consultant

with Technology for Development, South Africa, would be examining the progressive VoIP regulations.

The event being put together by the African Information Technology Exhibition and Conferences (AITEC) in partnership with Nigerian IT Edge, comes with the theme, “The Developmental and Business Imperatives of Internet Protocol (IP) Telephony in Africa.”
