The Lagos-based International Press Centre (IPC) has urged the global community, especially professionals and technology users on the need to safeguard the press freedom, reports ITREALMS.

The Executive Director of IPC, Mr. Lanre Arogundade made this call on the occasion of the 2022 World Press Freedom Day (WPFD) and enjoined the Nigerian government to respect its commitment and uphold the right to freedom of expression as enshrined in Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the African Charter on Peoples and Human Rights.
