Bock, Udsen, Marby, Crocker lead speakers @ICANN58

The Danish Minister of Culture, Mette Bock, and board chair of Dansk Internet Forum (DIFO), Professor Henrik Udsen, would be joining the President and CEO of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), Mr. Göran Marby and chair of the board of directors, Dr. Stephen Crocker, to address the opening ceremony at the forthcoming ICANN58 in Copenhagen, Denmark, reports ITRealms.

ICANN’s 58th Public Meeting, ITRealms gathered is coming six months after the historic Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) Stewardship Transition, which was a milestone in the history of ICANN’s multistakeholder community. 

ITRealms also gathered stakeholders from around the world, including people from businesses, governments, academia, and civil society, would be convening in Denmark to discuss various topics such as next steps after the IANA Stewardship Transition, enhancements to ICANN’s accountability and the new generic Top Level Domain (gTLD) programme.

The meeting scheduled for Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark, would take place between March 11 and 16, 2017, would be hosted by both the Danish Business Authority and the Danish Internet Forum.


ITRealms recalls that ICANN’s public meetings are held three times a year, and convene members of the global, multistakeholder Internet community, made up of individual users, businesses, civil society, governments, research institutions and non-government organizations, to discuss issues impacting the Domain Name System (DNS) and develop relevant policies.
