July 5, 6 are Eid-ul-Fitri public holidays says FG


The Federal Government (FG) of Nigeria has said that Tuesday, July 5 and Wednesday, July 6, 2016 is public holidays to mark Eid-ul-Fitri celebrations, reports ITRealms.

Eid-ul-Fitri, ITRealms gathered, is an annual event which marks the end of the 29 0r 30 days Ramadan fast by Muslims all over the world.

The minister of interior, retired Lt Gen Abdulrahman Dambazau, while announcing the Eid-ul-Fitri public holidays on behalf of the government of the federation on Thursday, June 30 at Abuja, advised all followers of the religion of Islam as well as Nigerians in general to spread the spiritual benefits of Ramadan.


Dambazau also said that some of these benefits include love, peace and justice, urging Nigerians to apply these benefits to their every day by doing this, “they will contribute to the growth and development of Nigeria.”
