Orangeapple unveils new e-learning product




As part of its Mobile Contents Products and Services Offering, innovative Information Technology Company, Orangeapple Technologies, has at a media launch in Lagos, unveiled its new educational service platform – Easylena, reports ITRealms.

Unveiling the product, the Oratech Management Team, practically demonstrated the Easylena tablet as an e-learning platform that offers smart personal learning tool for Secondary School learners in Nigeria and West Africa.


Speaking on the Oratech concept, Head Project and Admin., Orangeapple, Tunde Sobowale, stated that the company aims at linking people and technology together across many industries and business functions to deliver superior value to its customers, adding that it wish to collaborate with both private and public sectors to build high performance enterprises.

Highlighting the features of the product, Oratech’s Head Business Development and Sales, Oghechi Law-Onyema, stressed that the content is developed in line with the National Education Research and Development Council (NERDC) curriculum, West African Examination Council (WAEC) and Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) syllabi.

She noted that it is compiled into an Android app and bundled on a 16/32 GB Memory card, which can be used on all brands/models of Android phones and tablets – whether branded or off-the-market China brands.

Law-Onyema added that the content provided, includes offline materials as well as online materials.
Fielding answers to questions on the sustainability of the product amongst other industry competitors, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Orangeapple, Osato Izegbuwa, told ITRealms that with the Easylena Sms feature, which provides a platform for automation of day to day activities the product stands out best against its competitors.

“With this feature, students demographs, grades, scheduling, attendance, students billing, discipline and food service modules for school management will be in one application, as well as an online class which provides a platform for schools, teachers and students to collaborate in real time outside the walls of regular classroom.”

Izegbuwa also called for schools and Non Governmental Organisations (NGO) to partner with the product stating that discounts would be given for such partnership, as it plans another media launch with school stakeholders and NGOs on the products partnership.
