de Jong's tenure was marked by significant milestones. Key achievements include the divestment from onshore oil production, which laid the foundation for a new future via the Renaissance consortium, sustained production at the Bonga deepwater field resulting in the attainment of one billion barrels of oil, and the execution of the crucial Bonga North and HI projects.
