The Chairman of Zinox Group and Africa’s foremost digital disruptor, Dr. Leo Stan Ekeh, has expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for their goodwill messages and prayers on the occasion of his 70th birthday, reports ITREALMS.
In a post-birthday thanksgiving session with members of the ICT media at his Ikoyi residence, Ekeh spoke of his deep emotional response to the outpouring of love from Nigerians across all ethnic and social divides.
Reflecting on his long-standing relationship with President Tinubu, Ekeh described the President as a "trustworthy and loyal friend" whose support predates the launch of Zinox.
ITREALMS recalled that President Tinubu, in his official tribute, lauded Ekeh as a pioneering innovator in the information technology sector, commending his unwavering commitment to promoting the Nigerian brand and creating transformative opportunities for the nation's youth.
The celebration was further distinguished by a personal visit from former President Olusegun Obasanjo and his wife, Chief (Mrs.) Bola Obasanjo. The elder statesman described Ekeh as a "kind man and an achiever" who served as a beacon for the Nigerian tech industry at a critical historical juncture.

Noteworthy, ITREALMS gathered was that in 2001, then-President Obasanjo honored Ekeh as an "Icon of Hope" and subsequently conferred upon him the national honor of Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR).
During the visit, Obasanjo offered prayers for the tech mogul’s continued longevity, wishing him a century of life and beyond.
Ekeh also took the opportunity to honor those who supported his early entrepreneurial journey, specifically mentioning Vanguard publisher Mr. Sam Amuka, Lt. Gen. T.Y. Danjuma (retd) of South Atlantic Petroleum, and the family of the late Pa Obafemi Awolowo.
He noted that their early trust in his vision laid the foundation for his success. "I am deeply touched by the kindred spirit of Nigerians," Ekeh remarked. "It tells me that our people appreciate quality and value-driven impact. I want to say a big 'thank you' to everyone who sent prayers and messages through channels I may not have acknowledged immediately."
