A body of concerned Nigerians under the aegis of Credible Peoples’ Voice (CPV) has accused the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal [PEPT] of overthrowing the 1999 Constitution with its recent controversial judgment, reports ITREALMS.

They also accused the PEPT judges of creating the Nigeria's 37th state without input from the people and the National Assembly.

A United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) flight U5 0513 operated by its aircraft with registration 5N-BWY upon landing at Murtala Mohammed Airport Lagos aquaplaned due to a downpour, Friday evening, reports ITREALMS.

Confirming this to ITREALMS, the Head, Corporate Communications at UNA Mr. Achilleus-Chud Uchegbu, informed that the aircraft which was coming in from the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport Owerri operated and landed normally but skidded off the runway upon landing.

This is the practice nationwide.

Applicants who fail to comply with this process risk delayed services characterized by uncertainty, except for Very Important Persons (VIP) and those with direct contact with top officials of NIS who enjoy some level of waivers exempting them from any form of bargains. Despite this, a balance sum is made as gift at the end of the exercise to the facilitating official in appreciation, but at the discretion of the applicant.

In a petition dated August 21, 2023, addressed to the NSA, HEDA voiced its deep concern over recent reports published by The Nation news online platform. These reports detailed serious allegations of financial misconduct and misadministration within the NPTF. According to The Nation, the Goldstreet Associates, an Abuja-based human rights group, submitted a petition to President Bola Tinubu on August 15, 2023, outlining these accusations.
