CyberAfrica Magazine @10 institutes pan-African digital award - ITREALMS

As part of activities marking its 10th anniversary, CyberAfrica, an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) magazine has instituted a pan-African Digital Economy Award, which focus is celebrating digital innovations across all sectors on the continent, reports 
ITREALMS.
Disclosing this in a press statement available to ITREALMS in Abuja, the Managing Editor of CyberAfrica magazine, tv and online Mr. Hillary Damisah, said the novel award, is schedule to hold 19 December 2021 at the prestigious Oriental Hotel Lekki Lagos, will have categories covering the entire sectors that make up the Information and Communications Technology ecosystem.
“While we want to mark CyberAfrica Magazine @10, we also want to celebrate the huge digital transformation that has taken place across Africa, where virtually every sector of the economy is being driven by digital tools,” he said.

According to him, the essence of the ‘Pan-African Digital Award’ is to celebrate the digital transformation across africa and Africans. 

The award categories are cyber security, e-governance, startups, innovation, policy , infrastructure, finance and administration. The award he said will parade the best persons and organizations that are transforming Africa.

The CyberAfrica Magazine is published by the Centre for Cyber Awareness and Development (CECAD), a non for profit and non-governmental organization with focus on promoting cyber responsibility through advocacy, training and innovation.

According to the executive director of CECAD, Ms Mojisola Alabi, cyber africa is Africa's first magazine to focus on cyber issues a decade ago and the event is a two in one show.

First, she said, is the Cyber Africa forum with a theme "Building a new Africa with digital knowledge, skills and innovation."

She also said that the forum will discuss infrastructure, security, policy and governance.

In addition, Alabi said, is the Cyber Africa Digital Economy Award.
