Anambra 2021: AASDU Lagos urges members, ‘ensure their votes count’ – ITREALMS

ITREALMS ... making leadership SENSE with digital news!

Arising from its 2021 Nzuko Umunna, the leadership of Association of Anambra State Development Unions (AASDU Lagos) has urged its membership to ensure their votes count in the forthcoming coming governorship election in the state, reports
ITREALMS.
ASSDU in a press statement made available to ITREALMS entitled “Re: Anambra State November 6, 2021 Governorship Election - Our Stand” signed by the president, Chief, Sir Amechi Ebeledike and publicity secretary, Mr. Chidi Abajue, they reiterated commitment to the unity, peace and progress of Anambra Sate while praying for divine protection of Chukwu Okike Abiama upon the Ndi Anambra.
AASDU,
ITREALMS gathered despite heightened security challenges in Anambra that they are reasonably satisfied with the capabilities of the governorship contenders that participated in the Nzuko Umunna held in October, pledging cooperation to whosoever wins the coveted seat. “We equally appeal that the eventual winner should carry all stakeholders along in the governance of our State,” they said.

In addition, AASDU noted with interest, the promises made by each contender, and will hold whoever wins accountable.

“AASDU will join hands with our incoming patron (whoever wins) to move Anambra State forward,” they said.

Equally, AASDU acknowledged the assurances of security from all layers of government, and believe same to be credible, thereby calling on state and non-state actors to toe the line of dialogue and truce so as to achieve a transparently free, fair, and credible election in line with global best practices.

Anambra State, they group pointed out as the heartland of Ndi Igbo is in dare need of unity of purpose, peace and strategic progress.

“This can only be done with selfless, sagacious, untainted, humane, foresighted, task oriented and divinely inspired leadership; not rulership.

They further underscored the fact that the position of Ndi Igbo in the Nigerian enterprise could be improved through a multi-step approach that includes a united strategic democratic engagement as provided by the November 6, 2021 governorship election in Anambra State.
