Have your say on Internationalised Domains until July 25

The Joint country code Name Supporting Organisation (ccNSO) cum Generic Name Supporting Organisation (GNSO) on Internationalised Domain Name (IDN) Working Group (JIG) has disclosed that stakeholders have until July 25, 2013 to make input in the draft final report on universal acceptance of IDN Top Level Domains (TLDs).

Bart Boswinkel, the ICANN contact staff on JIG said the purpose of seeking public comment is to have the community input on its latest draft acceptance, including recommendations to the ccNSO and GNSO Councils for further action to resolve policy and other relating to the universal acceptance of IDN TLDs.

Also Bart said, the working expects to finalize and publish its final report, and submit their report, after taking into account the comments received.

The current status, showed that seeking public comment on its draft Final Report is part of the process for developing recommendations to the ccNSO and GNSO Councils as defined in the charter of the JIG.

The JIG, ICANN official revealed would closely review all submitted comments to determine, at its reasonable discretion, to modify its report.

The working group expects to formally publish its final report by the end of August and submit it to both the ccNSO and GNSO Council for adoption and further action.
